Mepco recovered over Rs 263 billion from public and private sector consumers in south Punjab during first three quarters of fiscal year 2021-22 (July 2021 to Mar 2022), registering a progressive recovery rate of 99.3 per cent.
The Mepco chief executive officer said that superintending engineers, executive engineers, sub divisional officers and operational staff were doing a good job in recovering revenue adding that recovery drive was still in progress to meet the desired target.
As of March 2022, approximately Rs 263.63 billion has been recovered from MEPCO Bill, including Rs 249 billion from private shoppers at a rate of 99.7%, and Rs 14.33 billion from public offices at a rate of 92.96 %.
Mepco’s CEO stated that Rs 58.74 billion has been recovered from Mepco Multan, Rs 20.45 billion has been recovered from Pepco DG Khan, Rs 21.75 billion has been recovered from Pepco Vehari, Rs 32.60 billion has been recovered from Bahawalpur, Rs 34.99 billion has been recovered from Sahiwal, Rs 27.46 billion has been recovered from Rahimyar Khan, Rs 31 billion has been recovered from Muzaffargarh
