You have to pay the bill on time as this is your responsibility as a citizen of Pakistan. This payment helps the parent company and the government of Pakistan to ensure a streamline and smooth distribution of the electricity all across the region. The tax money also helps MEPCO better the system and facilities.
If you do not pay the bill on time, you still have a chance to pay the bill with some fine after the due date. If you didn’t pay the bill yet, then from next month, MEPCO will issue you a warning that you have to pay the previous bill with surcharge and the current bill within 7 days. Therefore we recommend you to check your Mepco bill and pay your bill as soon as possible. If you do not do that, then the company has the authority to discontinue your connection. You will not receive the electricity until you pay the bills.
